The Dominican community is celebrating the 14th Annual Gran Gala Dominicana, featuring dancing, a cocktail reception, dinner, and awards ceremony.

The Gala hosts guests from diverse cultures, including corporate and philanthropic leaders; local, national, and international guests; celebrities; and community leaders of the Phoenix and bordering tri-state areas. With the annual event held in honor of the Dominican Republic’s Independence Day and timed at the start of Major League Baseball’s spring training, it is not unheard of for MLB athletes to attend as well.

Our attendees arrive on the fabulous red-carpet runway, enjoy a cocktail reception, and then sit down for an authentic Dominican dinner and an awards ceremony. The Gala presents awards to respected Dominican figures and other community leaders that have made an exceptional difference in the community as well as in their line of work.

Proceeds from the Gala will benefitPadres Unidos AZ, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and families through a variety of supportive programs. The organization serves at-risk teens by offering mentorship and resources that promote positive decision-making and personal growth. It also provides critical support for domestic violence victims, offering guidance and assistance to help them rebuild their lives in a safe and nurturing environment.

Additionally, Padres Unidos AZ runs dance programs for children and teens, fostering self-expression and boosting self-esteem through the art of movement. By addressing the diverse needs of the community, Padres Unidos AZ strives to create a foundation for resilience, confidence, and a brighter future.
